En av tio Stockholmare jobbar i tech-sektorn

Faktum är att yrket ”mjukvaru- och systemutvecklare” idag är det enskilt vanligaste yrket i Stockholms kommun, enligt SCB. Närmare 22.000 personer jobbade inom detta yrke i Stockholms kommun 2014.

Slår man ihop antalet mjukvaru- och systemutvecklare med alla de andra i it-sektorn blir totalsiffran närmare 52.000 personer. Det motsvarar 9,4 procent av de drygt 550.000 som jobbade i kommunen 2014.

Google makes one third of all global online ad revenue, but there’s trouble ahead

New figures released by Statista have shown just how huge advertising is to Google. The search giant officially earned one third of all digital advertising revenue globally in 2015.

A cool $67.39 billion.

Google’s online advertising revenue is growing at an increasingly slower rate: up 16.9% in 2013, 14.3% in 2014 and 11.5% in 2015.

Facebook’s advertising revenue grew 38.8% in 2013, 39.2% in 2014 and 32.7% in 2015.

Advertising company Exterion Media wins £1.1bn Transport for London contract

Advertising company Exterion Media has won a Transport for London (TfL) contract worth more than £1bn.
The partnership will begin on 1 October 2016 and was described by TfL as the largest outdoor advertising contract in the world.
As part of the agreement, Exterion will oversee advertising on trains and at more than 400 stations across the London Underground, London Overground, Tramlink, Docklands Light Railway, Victoria Coach Station and, when opened, the Elizabeth line.

Alphabet Just Struck a Major Blow Against Internet Ad Fraud

According to one study, of every $3 spent on digital advertising each year, $1 goes to fraud. And botnets are responsible for a good portion of that.

It's unclear how much traffic the three botnets Google has singled out -- Bedep, Beetal, and Changthangi -- have been responsible for, but they reportedly account for more than 500,000 infected computers.
